Fill in the application and add your documents
- Create a user account and fill in the application for a residence permit for studies (enterfinland.fi).
- It is also possible to submit a paper application (pdf). The processing fee for a paper application is higher than for an online application. If you apply online in Enter Finland, your application is processed more quickly.
- Add the attachments to your application.

Pay for and submit the application
The processing fee for the application is EUR 350. If you are under 18, the processing fee is EUR 240. These are the processing fees for applications submitted online in Enter Finland.

- a credit card
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Diners Club
- American Express
- Finnish online banking services
- or you can pay for the application when you visit the embassy or consulate or the VFS Global application centre to prove your identity.
- Please check the available payment methods in advance. All missions do not accept cash, and in that case, the required payment method may be a bank transfer.
- Check which currency is accepted, in other words, whether you need to use the local currency.
- To check which payment methods and currencies are accepted by the embassy or consulate in your country of residence, see the website of the Finnish mission operating in that country (finlandabroad.fi).
